Jocelyn Forest has been the mainstay of the Riptide pitching staff since joining the Riptide at its inception in 2004. Her 43 career wins and 409 strikeouts rank tops in NPF history. Forest was instrumental in leading the Riptide to its first NPF championship in 2006 posting a 15-5 record and 1.29 ERA, tied for first in the league in wins and second in ERA. She added two more wins in the championship series, pitching 16 scoreless innings including a shutout of the Connecticut Brakettes in the series final. The performance earned her the Championship Series MVP award.
In 2005 Forest split her time between the Riptide and the US Elite team, still managing a 9-4 record with the Riptide and winning the prestigious Canada Cup with the Elite team. In 2003 she played overseas in Holland helping to bring team DSC 74 its first national title. In 2002 Forest carried her Cal-Berkeley team to their first NCAA National Championship title. She pitched every game in the 2002 College World Series, shutting down defending champions University of Arizona in the finals. Her performance in the circle during the College World Series helped her to earn tournament MVP honors. Forest returns for her fifth season with the Riptide in 2008.
